Rant!

Trying to stay positive in a world that's trying to test me. Do not mess with my RDOs (regular days off)! Why would anyone assume that I want to work my days off or only have one and take OT (overtime)? Sure, I like money as much as the next person, but sometimes time is more valuable. I wish people did not assume that I have no life UGH! pisses me off! I am trying to deal with my constantly changing schedule, however it tries my temper. The worst part is that they don't care if this upsets me and I am the only one qualified to teach one of the classes, so I have to be at all of them!

Ya know what else gets me...the DEM committee - please don't call my house 6 times a day until the election and hang up every time you get the machine. This is frustrating. It almost makes me want to not vote for them. Let's be clear, I don't know who I am voting for yet. I frankly don't like either choice which turns me off to the whole process. I was for Hill, but apparently that didn't work out so well... This is one of two days off that I will have in a row until at least Thanksgiving. I promised the DEMs I would help them today for a few hours and on the 28th for a few hours, but they always want more. I am frankly only going because I promised I would 'cause at this point I am more annoyed than inspired right now.
This photo of palm trees makes me happy. It reminds me of being in LA and starting my new job and meeting some amazing new people. We don't have trees like this in Maine! or NY for that matter! The sun is shining and I need to turn my mood around! Lay-tah!

sept-tober

Apple picking at the Snell Farm
September was a blurr.
gone half the month on business. DC is really warm in comparison to Maine. met some great people, pushed the limits, pushed myself, got pushed, laughed cried and mostly clapped! i left a part of me with each of those amazing people and i took something from them as well. experience, risks, take chances, don't worry so much, laugh, love, enjoy, work hard, play hard, spread the message, keep the fire alive and pump up the energy and mostly never forget. many things cannot be repeated, some things must stay in Virginia and that's ok. i have never felt so supported, loved or wanted before. i have never felt so strong and soft at the same time.

On to October. i came home with a passion that I never allowed myself to feel. sometimes the walls we build can hurt us by protecting us too much. i so enjoy fall. Andre and i went apple picking and picked out a pumpkin, have enjoyed sleeping in and just spending time together. kickball has been great! Thursdays I feel like I am instantly accepted by my team and look forward to the Halloween party.

torn on the election. i am currently a fence sitter. i agree with both parties on some things. why can't life be like it was in hallowell. simple. money has halted or so it seems, late payments mean increased APR. thankfully my baby gets out early tonight between 5 and 8 I hope. T is back for a quick weekend before she moves abroad, M and T have a puppy and a condo and Dre wants to talk about working on the apartment. need more time to do things around the house, eczema is getting in the way of me getting things done. too much stuff in this house...clutter is killing me! volunteering at 2.

here and there

I hate when people try to bring me down. why is it that som people try their hardest to make other people feel badly? it's not nice.

stomach hurts.
wishing maine was closer to new york right now. 4 years in maine this august...by have i had good times, learned life lessons, grown, matured, grained weight, lost weight, gained weight, lost tonsils, gained a bunny and a wonderful boyfriend who is my best friend, lost great grandparents, got a promotion and a boss who is great. friends, memories, new experiences...

new york...sometimes just a memory. mostly just a memory. a phone call away, an 8 hour drive, a 4 day trip minimum, family. small town USA. oh to go back in time, i'd freee frame senior year of high school. ski instructing, close friends, close family, jeff came with me to prom, wonderful times, the nice house, windchimes, taking off during studyhalls, not a care in the world. those were the days.

sacrifices

Feeling like things are improving. So quickly you can get in over your head. everyone is leaving. the end of an era. the beginning of new friendships. stress inc, overtime inc., debt dec., quality time ?, contact hours dec.

it's a give and take. sacrifices which will hopefully pay off.

time will tell.
need to rest my head(ache)

my day

today is one of my days off. i always feel like i need to spend them wisely, yet research how i am going to spend it for far too long and am forced to make a decision. today i took the ferry and biked around an island in Maine. it wasn't a strenuous ride, but quite quaint. i definitely could feel the results of the physical activity and quickly realized how out of shape i have become over the last 4 to 6 years. but let's focus on the positive; it was a beautiful day and i enjoyed it, while being healthy.

it's come to the part of the day where i try to clean the loft and reorganize the odds and ends that make up our life. good luck me.

realizations

i just realized that i think i have a booty. if you are running on the treadmill and can feel your butt...i think that means you are booty-licious. damn!

and CC advances might be evil, but necessary.

every morning is the start of a brand new day

smile. breath. breath. breath.

everything starts today.

life is full of chanllenges that only make us stronger if we choose to battle on. sometimes we have choices. sometimes our fights are our destiny.

when portland goes nyc on your arse

As I was settling into bed last night, I heard a noise similar to fireworks, however there was just one long pop that echoed through the streets. That's odd, since when someone sets off firecrackers there are usually a few popping sounds. A trypical Old Port Brawl gone ugly. http://www.wgme.com/News/story_video/playFlashVideo.shtml?WGME_newsn

Yes that's the street I live on, awesome...
