hello February
Last week we tried out a favorite store that sell specialty beer from Poland to Austria to Maine! It's called Beers of the World. The only thing that would make this store better is if it was also a bar. Currently enjoying a Session Black from Oregon, funny little bottle seems like it should contain rubbing alcohol, but it's quite good.
The Internship is going well, clients are increasing and the word is getting out! only 2 or 3 open time slots left!!! Get 'em while they're hott!
There's always more homework or housework to be doing, but tomorrow is a chill day for me, generally speaking. reading, graduate assistantship, paper writing, and maybe some housework.
Not really looking forward to my birthday this year. It's a different kind of year, already has a different feel to it. Maybe it's the new town, new life, transition, or maybe it's just the increasing number. As I like to say...I'm 25 and holding! Contemplating catching a hockey game with some close friends, or maybe a game night at the apartment? Either way, I'm diggin' the black hair and bangs! It speaks to me right now. Maybe I'm grasping onto my youth or maybe I'm just me.

update
it's been far too long and far too many things have occurred to blog about. homework is a sea of times new roman letters, size 12 font, swirling through my brain and pouring out my eyes. i have to take a break from it to let it soak in.
i miss having a paycheck, i think i've said that. i miss even looking forward to the paycheck, seemed to get me through the 2week block. now i drive and drive and gas up and nothing. my internship has started and is kickin up speed. so much so that i wonder how i will accomplish everything.
i have punk rock hair, says dre. i feel like i am wearing a wig. i don't recognize myself in storefront windows, yet the reflection is mine. i like change, but it'll take a few days to get used to bangs and black, straight hair. i call it my 29th year crisis. almost...
i wish i were still kickboxing with my trainer. i think i need to paint. i have an idea for my next piece...it'll have a johnny cash meets johnny thunder feel.

Week 1, Second Semester
Well it's been an unproductive week in manys ways, yet I somehow managed to become a NYState resident and can now say that our apartment is unpacked. This time it only took 5months vs. our never completely unpacked state of our last apartment...or 3.
This semester looks different, Classes 2 days a week, internship 2 days a week and Ski instructing 1 day a week and 10hours of grad assistant work. We will see how long I can keep this up for.
I need to create, I feel the urge, yet housework and homework call my name.
I will be productive and I will create....just not right now.
I wonder about people, friends I haven't spoken to in awhile. Are they wondering? Maybe that should be my resolution...wonder, then act.

Happy New Year from our family to yours!
Christmas Dinner with my family 2010
Photo in our apartment before Andre's Christmas Party 2010
Second semester is days, or hours away...still so much I need to do. Instead, we've been Skyping, but it's been such a nice day to Skype. Last year was so wonderful and at times so hard, yet it made us stronger. Lots of changes for everyone, yet struggles bring the ones you love closer. Life is short, love fully, life happily, laugh often...and remember to breathe.Looking forward to the new year, but more accurately, each new day.

5. heat included...does not specify temperature
I love top 5 lists, stemmed from High Fidelity, great movie, must see.

More Art
Pictured to the far left is my art therapy apron, made with fabric crayons on paper and iron transferred. Inspired by Jack frost on my windshield.
On the right, my art therapy doll. Made of a wine cork, 2 types of wire, mirrors and sculpty. Of course it was suppossed to be made out of tape and I thought tape was stupid so I changed the rules, I do that a lot, not play by the rules...some things never change. :)
Finals tomorrow and Wed, then I will write more. Hello blogging friends.
Greg, enjoying the posts, hopefully the 4 of us can set up a Skype date?!

18inches
one week exactly, i hope i can make it...actually i know i will make it through, but it seems daunting. my CATs (Creative Art Therapy students) are feeling a little sad knowing we won't be seeing each other and going to class....i guess we've gotten addicted to writing papers.
i just want a tree. not sure when this will happen, i am thinking not until NEXT week, sadly.
i need to write a paper, more to come soon....so far 18inches of snow for us....and it's still snowing!
